A Conceptual Framework of Cloud-Based Mobile-Retail Application for Textile Cyberpreneurs
Cloud-based m-retail application is commonly used by internet retailers and cyberpreneurs for conducting online business operations. The emergence of third-party e-commerce platforms along with incentives from Malaysian government has easily enabled the utilization of mobile marketplace app among both Malaysian sellers and customers. As m-retail has just started to gain attention in Malaysia, more works must be done to overcome the academic research limitations in terms of technological and non-technological perspectives. Meanwhile, textile and apparel products are among the most popular to be sold via the internet in addition to the growing number of related businesses. The uses of latest technology such as cloud-based mobile-retail application may help business owners to sustain for business survival. In designing a mobile applications for specific users, a thorough investigation must be performed. A conceptual framework of the apps might be helpful in providing a general overview of required elements for developing a successful mobile-retail applications. Extensive literature reviews, qualitative analysis, interviews and questionnaires have been conducted in designing and validating the proposed framework. The analysis results shows mean values from the survey are > 3.5 for the core element variables in this research. Thus, the statistical analysis validation results indicates the importance of the element as the fundamental component for the proposed framework. Therefore, this paper intends to propose a conceptual framework of cloud-based mobile-retail application specifically to be used by textile cyberpreneurs which might be helpful for related key players
Malaysian PBL Approaches: Shaping World-Class TVET Skills towards IR 4.0
An Industrial Revolution 4.0 promoted by Malaysian government entitles the rapid growth of
manufacturing sector thus promotes a multi-level of workforce and skilled work force needed to satisfy the rapid
technological development application. The challenges arise on preparing the individuals to meet with the
current business at adequate skills level and the student need to be prepared in such way satisfied the business
expectations. Looking into this situation, this paper aims to study the concept of correlation between active
learning method known as Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Method and required employability skills in TVET.
As an initiative to enrich the future opportunity on empowering TVET skills, this study assumes that there is
positive relationship between employability skills and PBL approaches in improving student’s quality and skills.
The method of study involves documentation analysis on previous research to proves the importance of
employability skills in enhancing student’s competencies and the effectiveness of Problem-Based Learning
Method in preparing the students to meet the expectations. The main findings of this study claimed that there
was a positive relationship between employability skills and PBL learning method. Result acknowledge that
PBL has the ingredients to help develop employability skills and student’s behavior. Through PBL, students
learn to become more associates in the teaching and learning processes as they take responsibility throughout
the learning process. It would suggest that the educational institution should emphasize the needs of the
industry and students by creating awareness and guiding the students in self-analysis and in acquisition of
skills
Risk and Threat via Online Social Network among Academia at Higher Education
The evolution of information and communication technologies (ICT) nowadays has changed the life style of human living. The current modern societies have adopted ICT as an important thing that they are really needed in their life, especially as a tool to be used for communications activity. However, unfortunately ICT also exposed its user in circumstances of risk, threats and vulnerability. This paper will discuss the risk and threats to the users who are using social media as a medium to communicate. In this paper, the fraction of user will be divided by two types which are gender and working experience. The data that obtained from the distributed of questionnaires among respondent will be analysed by using SPSS. Data will be analysed by using two-way ANOVA statistic in order to examine the significant level in between gender and working experience as an independent variable in this study with the level of threats in cyber security risk towards lecturers who are working in higher education institutions in Malaysia. This article also will provide an empirical data and will be referred to another researcher in the future for their further research perhaps
Collecting the Memories: The Potential of Augmented Reality Souvenirs in Agro-Tourism
Souvenirs are an essential artifact in tourism because tourists want to keep a memory of the places they visit. Despite the enormous variation in souvenirs, there are no decent souvenirs for agro-tourism in Indonesia. Agro-tourism allows tourists to experience the natural beauty of landscapes and to be exposed to farming products, making the agricultural products the souvenirs themselves. Some Indonesian agro-tourism provides undifferentiated souvenirs like keychains or T-shirts that exhibit the place’s logo, which we perceive as an opportunity to develop a novel design of souvenir. Our previous study about augmented reality products in agro-tourism delivered good outcomes but needs further research. This article explored the potential of developing agro-tourism souvenirs with technology to engage tourist enthusiasm with augmented reality. The researchers conducted literature studies, interviews and product testings to answer the main research question: “What is the tourist attitude towards augmented reality souvenirs in Indonesian agro-tourism?”. The findings during the prototype trial indicated that augmented reality souvenirs could escalate tourism experiences. However, we found there was a problem in human-computer interaction: some of the target audience’s tools cannot support the technology. Although the immersive sensation from augmented reality souvenirs potentially enhances the tourist experience, future studies about the effectiveness of its more extended implementation are necessary.

Motivating students using Project Based Learning (PjBL) via e-SOLMS technology
This paper focuses on PjBL concept via online learning instrument, Student Oriented Learning Management System (e-SOLMS). The PjBL module is supported with “ online” web-based system called e-SOLMS. This system has been pilot tested on Mechanical Engineering students at Kota Bharu Polytechnic, Kelantan, Malaysia. It is hoped that this PjBL: eSOLMS becomes as alternative of new online learning resource for technical and vocational education in Malaysia. This system enables continuous monitoring of the
students’ project development progress by lecturers or supervisors and parents. This study finds that engineering students who are attached with PjBL:eSOLMS demonstrate increases in their intrinsic orientation
Project Based Learning (PjBL) practices at Politeknik Kota Bharu, Malaysia.
This study explores the utilization of Project-based Learning module in the subject of project development for the Mechanical Engineering students at Politeknik Kota Bharu. This study focuses on the development of the PjBL module based on socio-constructivist approach. The objective of this study is to explore the influence of the utilization of the PjBL module on students’ meta-cognition, motivation and self regulation. Result shows that the overall engineering students reported higher level of motivation, self confidence and self regulation throughout the process. The PjBL also enhances the cognitive and critical thinking in engineering problem solving among students. The use of PjBL module enables students to plan their project easily, work collaboratively with peers with minimal supervision from supervisors or lecturers and successfully complete their project on time. The positive feedback from this study may be used by management to further apply this PjBL concept across disciplines and departments
Aesthetic Appreciation of Kelantan Heritage Ceramics: An Indicator for Sustainability
Apart from creating clay objects with unlimited variety of shapes, the surface can also be decorated with patterns in many ways to enhance the overall appearance. As a result of this, surface decorations have been one of the major heritage values in ceramic studies. Thus, applying Gestalt theory and Golden section rule, this paper seeks to identify the unique heritage values in Kelantan ceramics that can be sustained as genius loci. Pictorial data (decorative patterns) were collected by visiting six museums in Kelantan and the data were analyzed with the aid of PhiMatrix software. The result shows eleven (11) decorative patterns that conform to the golden section rule and the Gestalt principles of grouping elements. Hence, sustaining this heritage values will not only serve as identity, but also demonstrate the recognition of the beauty of the past.
